CCGA Charity Golf Tournament

The Christian Community Golf Association and participating Twin City area churches hold an Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

GOLF SCRAMBLE RULES: (all golf rules shall conform to USGA Rules)

FORMAT:  27 hole Tournament - four person scramble tournament.

RULES: All rules interpretations will be handled and resolved by the Tournament Competition Committee.

1. A scramble means that all four team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker.

2. The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot of the prior shot.

3. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green also.

4. Putts need to be made within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score.

5. If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), the rough, or out of bounds, you can not drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away.

6. Each team must use at least one of each team members tee shots on each nine (minimum two tee shots per player).

7. Men tee off from the white tees and women from the red tees.

8. TO SPEED PLAY (ALL DAY) TWO (2) PUTTS ALLOWED PER GREEN.
   Example: Your on the Green In Regulation and miss two putts, DO NOT PUTT FOR BOGIE!  TAKE BOGIE AS SCORE.
   Exception: Your on the Green in 2 on a par 5, you miss two putts, DO PUTT FOR PAR!

GOLF ETIQUETTE:

1. Please smooth all marks made in Sand Bunkers.

2. Leave the putting green as soon as you have holed out.

3. Do not play until the players in front of you are out of range.

4. Balls may be cleaned on the green, and ball marks repaired prior to putting. You may not repair spike marks prior to putting.

5. Please observe all local course rules.

6. Enjoy the day and your fellowship with other Christian golfers!

AWARDS:  The following categories will receive awards:

Team Awards 18 holes:	Division Masters (Competitive) Division A (Competitive) Division B (Regular Golfers)	1st Place - CCGA Cup + $500.00, 2nd $300.00 3rd $200.00 1st Place - CCGA Cup + $500.00, 2nd $300.00 3rd $200.00 1st Place - CCGA Cup + $500.00, 2nd $300.00 3rd $200.00 (All winning monies are donated to the winning team's designated ministry or charity.) $25.00 per registered team player is donated to their respective team's designated ministry or charity.
Team Awards 18 holes:	Faith Mixer (Competitive)	1st Place and Individual Awards
Individual Awards 18 holes:	Division Masters (Competitive) Division A (Competitive) Division B (Regular Golfers)	Closest to the Pin Longest Putt Longest Drive

CONTESTS:

Closest to the Pin: This competition has two divisions (Hole #13). If your tee shot is closest to the Pin/Hole, write your name on the marker card and place the marker in the ground on the spot where your ball came to rest. Once the marker has been placed in the ground, it should stay there until someone else hits a closer shot. Use the flagstick as a measuring rod if it is a close call.  Then, that person should repeat the procedure of writing their name on the card below the other name(s) and place the marker at the spot. PLEASE NOTE COMPETITIVE MARKER OR REGULAR MARKERS.

Longest Putt: This competition has two divisions (Hole #18). If your putt is the longest putt made, write your name on the marker card and place the marker in the ground on the spot where you putted the ball from. Once the marker has been placed in the ground, it should stay there until someone else makes a longer putt. Use the flagstick as a measuring rod if it is a close call.  Then, that person should repeat the procedure of writing their name on the card below the other name(s) and place the marker at the spot. PLEASE NOTE COMPETITIVE MARKER OR REGULAR MARKERS.

Longest Drive: This competition has two divisions (Hole #4). If your drive is the longest and over 150 yards in length, write your name on the marker card and place the marker in the ground on the spot where your ball lays. Once the marker has been placed in the ground, it should stay there until someone else makes a drive longer than yours. Then, that person should repeat the procedure of writing their name on the card below the other name(s) and place the marker at the spot. PLEASE NOTE COMPETITIVE MARKER OR REGULAR MARKERS.

*On the Green:  This is an individual competition (Hole #15). Each player has the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket for $5.00. If your tee shot on Hole #15 stays on the green, you will receive another raffle ticket for a prize. At the end of the day, we will be drawing for two (2) $100.00 Gift Certificate to Austad's Golf from the raffle tickets collected during the Tournament and Faith Mixer rounds, respectively.

Division Masters: A group of 4 players with a collective average score over par of under **72 per player. (18 x 4 = 72)

Division A: A group of 4 players with a collective average score over par of under **72 per player. (18 x 4 = 72)

Division B: A group of 4 players with a collective average score over par of  over  **72 per player. (18 x 4 = 72)

** CCGA reserves the right to modify this number based on total teams and collective average score for 4 players.
