Dear Friend in Christ:

I am honored to serve as your President for the Year 2008 and the Annual CCGA Charity Golf Tournament.  The idea for CCGA was developed by several Christian men during their trip to the "Stand In the Gap, a Sacred Assembly" by Promise Keepers' in Washington, DC.

It was a memorable weekend, where well over one million men gathered to honor Christ and pledged to keep their promises to God, family and community. During  the weekend these men were encouraged to return to their churches and communities and develop activities which would bring down racial and denominational barriers.

The CCGA Board of Directors and Board of Advisors believe that an annual charity golf tournament is one way Christian men and women of various denominations can come together for a day of fun and fellowship, while raising money for church and mission projects.

The Annual CCGA Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Wild Marsh Golf Club, in Buffalo, Minnesota.   Here's an event where men and women can represent their churches on a team (for 27 holes). At the same time, golfers are raising funds for their own church projects and helping to support CCGA's charity of choice.

Why not have you team(s) participate? The guidelines are simple. Players are encouraged to get sponsors to contribute to a specific charity of your choosing. We recommend each player raise a minimum of $500 in pledges. The first $200 per player goes to CCGA ($800 per team) to pay expenses of the tournament (free shirts, hats, golf balls, meals and live entertainment), and to support CCGA's charity of choice. Each team's charity of choice will automatically receive up to  $100.00 ($25.00 per paid player) from the team's registration fee. All additional pledges go to the team's charity of choice. A team can easily raise an additional $1,000 or more for its special church ministry project.

Information materials and enrollment forms can be ordered  by contacting our office or printing the appropriate form(s) from this web site (Sponsors Request and Golf Team Sign up). Come make a day of it! golf, golf gifts, food, and great fellowship. Everything you need to enroll and gather your sponsors can either be ordered or downloaded.

We're looking forward to your participation!

On behalf of the Board,

Lee Olson
President
