with a Special Dinner Speaker

Our guest speaker will be Randy McPherson. Randy is from Minneapolis, Minnesota where he lives with his wife Susan.  They have four children.  He is an avid outdoorsman who grew up as the oldest of seven in a hunting and fishing family.  His brother, Matt McPherson, owns Matthews Archery, the world’s largest archery manufacturer.

If it walks on all fours, flies or swims, Randy has probably tried to hunt it or catch it. His favorite pastime is bow hunting and with his bow and arrow he has harvested numerous white tail deer, mule deer, elk, caribou, and black bear.  He even has one black bear in the Pope and Young Record book.  He’s hunted or fished in 17 different US states and 4 Canadian provinces, but his favorite place to hunt is on his farm in Wisconsin.

Randy loves to share the life lessons he has learned from his outdoor experiences.

In April 1998 the Christian Community Golf Association (CCGA), a Minnesota non-profit corporation, was formed. Our goal is to provide Christian service, fellowship, and financial support to a designated ministry of choice and specific ministry projects of local churches through the game of golf. Local church teams participating may also raise funds for their respective local church projects.  Annual golf event(s) will be scheduled and sponsored by businesses and individuals who wish to give their energy and talents to the work of our Lord Jesus Christ through CCGA..

Biblical Verse

There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4: 4-6

Purpose Statement

Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ, unify his people, share the gospel and support church and ministry projects through the game of golf. Our desire is for all to know, love, and serve Christ.
