Charity Golf Tournament

Sponsorship Request
November 23, 1999
Dear Partner in Ministry:
The Christian Community Golf Association (C.C.G.A.) will be holding
its 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 19, 2000 at Chomonix Golf Course in
Lino Lakes, MN. The origin of this event was inspired at 30,000 feet by a group of Promise
Keepers on the way to Washington, D.C. They gathered with over 1 million men at the
Promise Keepers sacred assembly on October 4, 1997. All present at the assembly were
encouraged to focus on Jesus Christ and to participate in activities which would help
bring down racial and denominational barriers.
The purpose of the tournament is to bring Christian golfers of all
denominations from the Metro area together to share in Christian fellowship and to raise
funds for many worthy projects of participating churches and the C.C.G.A.'s charity of
choice.
Such an event is very costly. We need your support and prayers to
make it successful. Your participation would be most appreciated and we know the Lord will
bless your gifts.
FORMAT: Teams made up of 4 players
from area churches will compete in a scramble format, 18-hole tournament, A & B
Divisions, at Chomonix Golf Course Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Following that, a 18-hole mixer
will be held to encourage fellowship, new friendships, and opportunities to share faith.
Also lunch, dinner, shirts, hats, and prizes provided.
